Jackie Mirabel has trained with the international felt artisans May Jacobsen Hvistendahl, Jorie Johnson, Polly Sterling, Inge Bauer, and Ewa Kuniczak. She has also studied silversmithing with Pedro Boregaard, the noted Tiffany & Co. jewelry designer, and award winning Klaus Burgel.
She has taught various aspects of feltmaking in the U.S. and Europe. Her work has been published in several collections of felt fashion: Fabulous Felt Hats, How We Felt, and Fabulous Felted Scarves, and appears in the Fiber Virtual Exhibition on the website, www.craftinamerica.org. Her work is available through Freehand Gallery in Los Angeles, CA, and Fiber Arts Center, Amherst, MA.
